I guess it helps that I worked for them before. But yes it was fast, they called me the same day I had my interview, and offered me the job,

My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet.  Good Morning Christine and Illinois Friends and Carla!

Carla, You are always included when I say Illinois friends even though you live in Florida.  We will forgive you for living in the sunshine state.  We just want to forget you are there.

Nothing new on my plate today.  Work went better yesterday but still had a headache by the end of the day.  They switched my topamax to generic and normally I am supportive of generics but I am beginning to wonder if this is a different formularly and is making a difference.

It is hump day!   and is susposed to be nice for the next couple of day so I will take it.

Hope everyone enjoys this sunny day.

I am still a Chicagoan cause we still own a house in Chicago. but I choose not to live there. But I am going to be there for a month Starting may 8th to the 14th then July 16th to Augest 1st or so. Beating the heat in Florida.
But I am staying with Paulette and my daughter......
Going to Denver between the times.
Nothing much going on nere today but fighting with verizon. My sound on my phone went out and now I cant down load my information. I have internet on it and other stuff. Makes for a long day.
I am getting over a nasty cold and cough. I am hoping to be feeling better here shortly.

Good Morning Earlybirds and Everyone who is able to sleep a bit later.

Thanks Christine, I got it.

Good Luck on your first day Janet.

For myself, I could never wait until the last day to do income taxes. Can't do that with bills or real estate taxes either. If I get a bill in the mail, or know something has to be payed later in the week or month, I try to pay them the day that they come in. Then, i don't have to think about it.

Today, I have to go to work, then to see a knee specialist. Then out for dinner.

Christine, if you are thinking of a reverse mortage, please be careful. They aren't all what they are hyped up about. Plus there is a limit on the amount you can get. Again, please be careful.

Have a great sunny day, stay warm and safe.

Hugs
LISA

When I used to get a refund I would have my taxes done ASAP, but now I figure they can wait for my money.  I'm not giving them any of my money an earlier than I have to.  Nice attitude I know.

Lisa, actually you can now get up to $625,000 (recently changed). It is a great option for couples that want to remain in their home for a long time and want the income for health reasons or the benefit of remaining independant. There are fees involved. There have also been a lot of misconceptions regarding reverse mortgages (RM). Many think that the money is taxed as income, the financing institution owns the home (you still hold the deed to the house), it affects your social security & medicare. All not true. It is not for the person that has more than 70% left to pay on their mortgage, short time in the home etc. There are rules like you have to live in the house (you cannot buy a house with the intent to flip it then sell), age considerations, value of home, fees have to be paid up front from the monies you receive, has to have a FHA appraisal  (more stringent), YOU HAVE TO HAVE FINANCIAL COUNSELING (Federal requirement) etc. Even people that have no credit or are possibly about to go into foreclosure can get a RM, there are just rules for when you go to sell your home or the death of the last borrower or the last borrower no longer lives in the home. If the last borrower has been in nursing home for 12 consectutive months the law regarding RM say the home has to be sold and the RM paid back and the equitiy that is left over goes to the surviving borrower or heirs.

Good morning Christine and the rest of Illinois (past and present)!

I am working today after finding out late yesterday that we had "A Day in Rock City" meeting last night.  I still made a good dinner (will post the recipe soon) and we were at the meeting only 10 minutes late.  That's OK though......they were still talking about stuff that they were talking about at the last meeting I attended 2 months ago!  I guess I didn't miss much.  Now, we have to start having meetings every 2 weeks to get things done in time for July 25th.  It will be here before we know it!  I hope to see lots of you in Rock City that day if you are interested.

The Earth must have tilted on its axis again.  I left for work my usual time but felt like I was running very late as it was much lighter out than usual.........strange, I remember saying the same thing last year!

Today, I have a couple of errands to run after work then hopefully home to rest.  Tomorrow night, I have to meet with a "special committee" of the school board regarding the marching band boosters.

I remember that Lisa asked the other day about tickets to the Chicago OH conference.  I would be interested to know the answer also as I have found that OH has not been very responsive to my inquiries.  It is like pulling teeth to get any kind of answer out of them and I am frustrated to say the least.  I guess since I do not hang out on the "MAIN board" I am not in that clique and not important enough to receive a response.........  THAT's WHY I DON'T HANG OUT ON THE MAIN BOARD!!!!!!--------WAY to much of a clique attitude!!!!!!  I never was one of the "cool" people.  I guess I will just have to learn to live with it but it does leave a bitter taste in my mouth.

Anyway......after that rant, I need to be grateful.........I am grateful for the great friends that I have made HERE on THIS board.  I love you all very much!

Have a spectacular day and enjoy the sunshine!

Tell someone that you love them!

If you think the main board is bad then do not go to the Rants and Raves board, man.
